Welcome

Welcome to our beautifully converted chapel on the sea, originally built in 1878 in the unspoilt hamlet of West Portholland.

Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on The Roseland Peninsula, Chapel House has hosted many family holidays over the years, as well as being an idyllic retreat for those looking for peace and quiet to read, write, paint and reflect.

Chapel House is comfortable and well-equipped, and it is easy to spend a restorative week here enjoying the beach and swimming in the sea. The area also boasts superb opportunities for walking, with the South West coastal path running right past the house. Some of Cornwall’s most beloved gardens; Trelissick, The Lost Gardens of Heligan and Caerhays Estate, are within striking distance.

"The most perfect place for anyone who loves Cornwall at its most wild, remote and magical and loves to wake to the sound of sea."
Eve Chase, author of Black Rabbit Hall

Stunningly situated next to the beach, this beautifully converted chapel sleeps up to six plus a cot

Few coastal villages are as unspoilt as the two Porthollands
